The Yamaha-250 Standard Clarinet is the most versatile, lightweight and value for money of all student clarinets. The YCL-250 incorporates all the lessons we've learned from crafting our high-end models. Made of ABS resin, it is exceptionally durable, maintenance-free, and resistant to moisture. The Yamaha Standard Clarinet features a responsive, rich tone as well as excellent durability. The quality construction will stand up to the rigors of student use in both concert and marching situations. The student model features a bell and barrel design integrated from the more expensive V-Series models. Intonation is improved by undercut tone holes, and an innovative design eliminates jamming or breaking the bridge keys. Rustproof, stainless steel springs offer a quick response for accurate playing.

Legere Saxophone reeds are available for virtually all saxophones and have a beautiful tone and range, together with all the normal advantages of a synthetic reed.  One of the best features of a Lgre reed is that it does not need to be moistened prior to playing. It will warm up over the first few minutes, and should then be stable for an extended period. Lgre reeds are graded with great accuracy and sold in strengths. Each reed has a serial number and a strength which will correspond closely to a typical cane reed strength scale. The best thing about this material is it's sound. Professional players often use the word woody to describe it and this is the highest compliment! We know that you wont believe it until you play the reed yourself so give it a try!The original cuts are designed for a darker sound and generally used for a classical set-up. New players should choose the Studio Cut.
